Richard has been releasing music since 2001 on his own Further Out Recordings label. He djed and performed regularly on the London music scene.

In 2015 the debut album of the project with his wife Sheila, Annabel (lee), released on Ninja Tune Records, won the UK's Dead Albatross Music Prize. Chosen from over 700 albums released in the UK and Eire by over 100 judges.

Now based in Los Angeles he performs with the 9 piece Annabel (lee) Orchestra and has branched out into bespoke music for film soundtracks, tv, theatre and commercials.

He is currently working on the 3rd Annabel (lee) album and a spoken word project, Fugue State, set to his compositions featuring poems by himself, Sheila Ellis (Annabel (lee)) and David J (Bauhaus / Love & Rockets).

He recently completed a remix for The Future Sound Of London's psychedelic project The Amorphous Androgynous and produced a track for David J's new album.

His latest production is jazz guitarist Jon Dalton's ambitiously beautiful take on the Mahavishnu Orchestra's “Smile Of The Beyond”.

Richard's compositions range from orchestral to acoustic to electronic.
